FixMyStreet is an online service that allows you to report problems (e.g. potholes, overgrown pavements) immediately and ensure that they reach the appropriate teams swiftly.

Shropshire Council has just announced some updates to the service, as follows:

We are excited to update you on the latest round of FixMyStreet improvements. Currently, we are working with the Street Scene service (sweeping, grass cutting, bin emptying for example) and have assessed a range of solutions to better inform the public. We have taken feedback on board, and we are now ready for a launch of changes into the live FixMyStreet system.

This update will cover improvements including:

• A new system wide message aimed at providing better information. By providing the information above it will help the Council to:

• Redirect the enquiry to the appropriate body to resolve the enquiry where the Council is unable to solve the problem or where it falls outside of the Council’s responsibilities.

• Enable a faster and targeted response to enquiries.

• To provide a more detailed response than is currently available with automated replies. Our updates include the following:

• 7 new service tailored automatic responses, so customers are better informed abreplies.

• Links to webpages for policies or more information as available and relevant to the enquiry.
